On Tuesday 21 May 2024 at 10:00, the Aula Magna of Rome’s Academy of Fine Arts will host ‘Unfolding Digital Curation’. Supported by ICOM Italia, the event promotes experience sharing and dialogue on cultural heritage digitisation, with a particular focus on the emerging profession of Digital Curator.
This is the concluding event of DCBox – Digital Curator Training and Tool Box, funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus Plus ‘Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education’ programme and coordinated by our research team.
DCBox aimed to train a new generation of European cultural heritage professionals with recognised, advanced and transferable digital skills. Its MOOC involved more than 150 students from partner institutions and beyond.
The event will present the results of two years of work, with round tables on heritage digitisation, networking and experience sharing. Demo sessions will offer VR headsets and interactions with digital libraries, allowing participants to explore prototypes developed by students.
