WEBINAR: DISCOVERING THE MUSEUMS OF THE FUTURE

The third “Discovering the Museums of the Future” webinar series has concluded successfully

With over 300 participants from across Italy, the third ‘Discovering the Museums of the Future | Digital Transformation between Technology and Identity’ webinar series has concluded. It was organised within Prof. Paolo Clini’s Digital Documentation course for the Architecture and Building Engineering degree programme at Università Politecnica delle Marche.

The programme comprised five Monday sessions between 5 May and 16 June 2025, exploring the impact of digital technologies on the identity and role of contemporary museums.

Now in its third edition, ‘Museums of the Future’ has become a national reference for sharing strategies, practices and technologies for heritage digitisation, featuring leading Italian and international speakers.

A collaboration network that makes a difference

A key factor in the project’s success is collaboration with ICOM Italia’s Marche regional coordination, led by Antonella Nonnis (www.icom-italia.org). The Distori team at UNIVPM has maintained a structured agreement with it for over three years, sustaining a shared programme that connects university research, museum practice and cultural policy at regional and national levels.
