Digitisation of Ascoli Piceno’s civic collections to create web museums for the Civic Art Gallery, the Ceramics Museum, the Early Middle Ages Museum and the Osvaldo Licini Contemporary Art Gallery. Work included laser scanning part of Palazzo dell’Arengo, photogrammetry of collection artefacts and gigapixel capture of artworks including Guido Reni’s Annunciation, Titian’s Saint Francis Receiving the Stigmata, Pellizza da Volpedo’s Romantic Walk and an Antonio Mancini self-portrait. Supported by regional funding, the project was delivered through agreements between DICEA and the management cooperatives of the “Il Picchio” consortium.
